The Old Farmer's Almanac Houseplant & Flower Fertilizer Plant Food Spikes are packed with nutrients specially formulated for vibrant flowers, houseplants and container plants. Convenient and easy to use, mini-spikes feed at the roots, where plants need it most, without waste or runoff.

Nutrient Rich 5-5-5 Formula with 5% Nitrogen for plant growth and color; 5% Phosphorus for healthy fruiting and blooms; and 5% Potassium for strong roots.

Simple to use. For best results, use 2-4 spikes per plant. Water well after application. Reapply every 6-8 weeks.

Press mini-spikes into the soil until the top is about 1 inch BELOW the soil level. For smaller plants, or containers under 8 inches in diameter, use 1-2 spikes. For larger plants, or containers over 8 inches in diameter, use 2-4 spikes. 

Distribute spikes evenly around the plant -- along the drip line for ground plants, or about halfway between the steam and the rim for potted plants. 

Water well after application and regularly thereafter.
