Instantly Creates Safer Surfaces: Purely Melt quickly and easily creates safer surfaces, especially in high traffic areas like driveways, porches, steps, decks and sidewalks. Use Purely Melt to in the evening to prevent snow and ice buildup, and dangrous black ice, overnight; or use Purely Melt after shoveling to remove residual snow and ice and prevent refreezing. At typical rates Purely Melt will melt up to 1/2 inch of snow per application.
Safer with No Harsh Ingredients: Purely Melt is 100% Salt, Chloride and Urea Free. It's safer for use around pets, plants and people. Purely Melt will not harm grass, turf, gardens or plants; and best of all it won't burn or irritate tender pets paws!
Eliminates Mess & Damage: Purely Melt's liquid formula eliminates the gritty residue, granular tracking and damage caused by rock salt and chloride based ice melts. It won't harm concrete, metals, stone or asphalt when applied as directed. (Consult an engineer or contractor before using this product on structural concrete, pre-cast concrete or specialty stone (i.e. granite, marble, etc.). Concrete must be properly formulated, installed and maintained. Never use on concrete less than 12 months old.)
Purely Melt works best when temperatures are nearing or below freezing (32º F) but above -20º F. For the best results apply Purely Melt using a pump spray bottle at a rate of 1 Gallon per 1250 square feet. For temperatures below 0º F increase overall application rates by 20%. Apply Purely Melt in a sweeping motion, back-and-forth, to ensure the entire area is evenly coated.
To Prevent Snow & Ice Buildup apply Purely Melt before, or in the early stages, of snow or ice storms. Purely Melt will generally melt up to 1/2 inch of snow per application. On wet days apply Purely Melt in the evening to prevent ice buildup and black ice overnight.
To Clear Leftover Snow or Ice After Shoveling, apply Purely Melt and wait 2-3 minutes for maximum effectiveness. Purely Melt will generally melt up to 1/2 inch of snow per application. An additional application and/or spot treatment may be necessary where there is significant ice or snow buildup or in cracks and crevices. This product is not designed for use on heavily packed snow or thick ice.
